I watched the political process this time around with added excitement as I observed the Romney family approach each press conference, rally and debate with poise and humble strength. I hoped that Romney would succeed, but had a feeling that Obama would win... it is the way that this world must travel. The Romney's served as faithful followers of Christ should - and helped progress the work of the gospel of Jesus Christ just by living and being. A great testament to the fact that this is what we all are doing - in our little, normal lives - increasing the reach of the gospel of Christ and opening the eyes of those around us to the great peace that the gospel brings.
It has been difficult for me to feel peace in the last immediate while - it seems that my life has been in constant commotion! I just hang on to the thought that this too shall pass, I can do hard things, the Lord is preparing me for what is to come... and that is a little frightening - I just hope I have the strength to endure whatever may come, well! It is all I can do to love my children and teach them to listen for and do what the Spirit tells them. After all, that is all I can do! I love our Savior and hope that He is pleased with my efforts. I am sure He is pleased with Romney's. :-)
