Lindsey's Baptism

Lindsey turned 8 on February 12th, 2011.  She was so excited to be able to be baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on March 5th, 2011.  She was baptized by her father, Jared Watts with her Grandpa Bob and Grandpa Clifford witnessing and taking part in her confirmation.
There were 4 other 8 year olds being baptized that day - so it was quite a long process to have all of those children baptized and confirmed! Lindsey was so happy to have her dad baptize her - she said that she wanted to be baptized to show that she would follow Jesus, and that she knew that baptism was "the key to get into heaven".  She asked Grandma Linda to sing her favorite song, "I Love to See the Temple".  She decided to go up to Grandma as Aunt Ashlee began playing the accompaniment, and sing with her!  It was such a sweet moment.  We are so proud of Lindsey and happy for her choice!
I love my Daddy! (Showing off her first lost tooth too!)
Jared looks so handsome here! I am so grateful that
Jared is a faithful man - able to hold the priesthood
and bless our home with that power.
"Can't wait to put on the white dress and have
Daddy baptize me!"  (This baptism dress was
made by my mother for me when I was 8.
Emily was baptized in it also.)

We are so happy for Lindsey!
Lindsey began taking piano lessons this year as well - she really enjoys it!  If you know Lindsey at all, you will have observed that she hums and sings to herself almost all the time.  She does it so often, that I don't always recognize it!  Play me a tune, baby!

Love You Lindsey Lou!
