Christmas is here again!

It's the Hap, happiest season of all...!
Christmas is our family's most favorite holiday.  The celebrations that we hold most dear to us also include Easter, Thanksgiving and the birthdays of our many family members.  Who needs a better excuse to get together and enjoy one another's company?  Celebrating the birth of our Savior is a month-long season of reverence, sprinkled with excitement and the gentle candle-like flickering warmth of God's love for each of us.  I absolutely adore this time of the year.  The excuse to put up white lights (that I wish I could come up with a good excuse to keep up all year) that help remind me that Jesus Christ is the light of the world and the source of hope to carry us through even the darkest of winters.  Hope that renews again with the dawn of Spring, when we remember yet again that Christ LIVES and we all too will live again after this mortal life ends.

One of Emily's Christmas gifts - a camera!

Anna & Jared enjoying Christmas morning - he still can make me laugh!
Jared prepared the kids for a week or so before Christmas Eve and "trained" them all in a sneak attack to use in order to sneak a peek when Santa arrived.  They did a couple of practice runs a few days before Christmas Eve night.  We heard Santa's bells around midnight and we went in and woke the kids - the girls jumped right up, but poor Tanner was completely asleep!  It took lots of shaking, but he had been trained well - he sleepwalked to the corner and laid down on the floor - and peeked with his eyes closed.  I was able to snap a quick picture of Santa as he was at his work!
WE BELIEVE IN SANTA CLAUS!
