No school for over a week - I gotta find things to do to keep us entertained for Spring Break! So, I took my 4 children and met up with some other moms/friends at Fairie Tale Town just past downtown Sacramento. I have fond memories of that place. My mother took me and my siblings there often when we were young. The place is still the same - and very well maintained! The children love it - the creative ment-to-be-played-on exhibits are based on fairy tales and nursery rhymes.
I only spend one split second worrying if Emily would be okay - she being the oldest of all the children there. Would she be bored? Would she complain about being at a pre-school type function with only her younger siblings to play with? Afterall, she is 9 years old and growing up right before my eyes! But she never uttered a word of complaint, she dashed off to play with all the other children, and when we sat down for lunch, she plopped down next to me and the baby and said, "This is one of the best days of my life!" Tears pricked my eyes and I uttered a prayer of thanksgiving - my girl still appreciates the good stuff in life!
All my kids enjoy the story of Cinderella - it's one of my favorites too. Lindsey posing beautifully...as usual.
Tanner loves the story of The Three Little Pigs - here he is in front of the 2nd Little Pig's house of sticks.
I think he likes it because he likes the voices I use for the pigs and the wolf.
Lindsey's latest favorite book is "Jack and The Beanstalk".
Apparently, the cheese stands alone...

I remember that place. I loved it! I'm excited to visit Fairy Tale Town when we come out there in July. Maybe I'll have to start reading those stories to Emerson so he will get it?
Totally! You gotta read him some of the nursery rhymes! Fun times we had there!
