We were able to get this family snapshot taken in our backyard the weekend before Easter. My mom and dad came out to our place and we celebrated spring and the Easter holiday with them, since they were going to be spending Easter and the 2 weeks after in Hawaii - lucky dogs! My mom had given the kids their Easter clothes (as you can see pictured above) so we wanted to show their handsome-ness to her with gratitude in our hearts. Tanner was so excited about his new outfit (including the NEATO clip-on tie), that he had worn it the Sunday before and dressed himself, completely by himself - with NO PROMPTING from me at all! He even tucked in his shirt, put on his tie AND put on a belt - it was such an unusual event that I took a picture of him to make sure I documented this mind-blowing event, just in case it never happened again...

He is my most favorite boy in the whole world!
Are you falling in love with him too?
The girls looked beautiful too - I am sorry if I am a bit biased...

The following weekend was Easter and my kids' started their spring break on the Friday before Easter Sunday. We spent the night on Thursday, Friday and Saturday with the Newbold Family and the cousins all basked in eachother's company. We made sugar cookies (which seems to be becoming a Spring/Easter celebration tradition), dyed eggs and watched General Conference together. Sunday brought an Easter dinner with the whole Clifford and Linda Watts Family. Everyone was there - so we snapped a family pic!

Then, a grandchildren picture...
I tried to catch them at their best... this was it... ;-)

The next day my children ran in from playing outside after a break in the rainy weather and excitedly exclaimed, "Mommy! Come outside and see this beautiful rainbow!" I did, and it was the most gorgeous one I have ever seen! SO BRIGHT and vibrant - and we could see both ends! I ran back inside to get my camera and by the time I got back out it was already fading. But here you see it above my blooming wisteria in my backyard. The beauties of nature truly testify of Heavenly Father's love for us... These beauties bring me much comfort and fill me with peace.
Two weeks later - again, between breaks in the odd weather this year - we got our seeds planted in our garden boxes. The kids love planting their seeds and watching their favorite things grow... Zinnias, Sweet Peas, and Snapdragons - Squash, pumpkins, watermelon, and cucumbers.
Tomatoes, lettuce, spinach, and carrots...
They love to go out EVERYday and look for the sprouts - and then watch the sprouts grow and thrive.
Kind of like me -
I love to watch my "little sprouts" grow.
Water them daily with love and pray over them with faith -
and just watch them
and rejoice in their growth.

I love your family photo. You guys are so cute. Since when did you decide to let Tanner grow his hair out? I'm so not use to seeing him with hair longer than a buzz.
