But I wasn't satisfied enough to stop there.
1. It's ugly.
2. Food will inevitably fall onto it making it messy.
3. I don't have anything better to do with all of my spare time.
(HA! Just kidding on that one.)
I went to JoAnn's and picked up a yard of marine fabric and set out to cover this eyesore. I looked online and discovered that there are way too many cute perky moms out there who make cute blogs filled with DIY projects - enough to make my head spin! Anyway - I found a blog giving me some info on how to cover my own booster chair. I just modified it by having to work with my phone books as stuffing instead of foam.
After somewhat easily putting together the top and side covering, the task of attaching the bottom piece proved a bit frustrating. But, after removing the stitching and re-stitching TWICE, this is how my homemade booster seat turned out. It cost me about $5.
Finished product.
Yea Me! Food spills wipe of easy and Lindsey's bum doesn't move around when she sits to eat - she is very happy about that!
Here's a back view - I sewed ties into the seams on both top and bottom to make it secure so it won't move around, but I can lift it up and wipe the chair underneath.
Tanner agreed to model it's use for me. Isn't he cute? Now I have to go and make one for him...

WOW - look at you being all crafty! My head spins too when I see all those blogs of mothers and their crafts. Where do they find the time? I'm not a very crafty person.
