Then it was Emily's turn. Our 2nd grader!
Tanner and I walked her to her new 2nd grade class and she was immediately greeted by her teacher Mrs. Dokkan and many familiar faces from church, as well as her best friend that she discovered last year in her 1st grade class, Mia! The bell had rung as we were on our way to class, so I had to give my big girl a kiss and send her off with an "I love you!" and "I'll pick you up at the front of the school later, honey!" She gave me a slightly nervous look, like she was a bit unnerved about me having to leave her...I left a bit worried, thinking I may get a call from the school nurse sometime soon. But, the morning rolled by with just Tanner as my company at home and when the time came to pick up Lindsey - I had to fetch her from the cafeteria to take her home for lunch - there was Emily at a table, beaming, with 6 of her girlfriends from her 2nd grade class. I was so relieved! She waved and gave me a kiss as I walked out with Lindsey in tow. I am so proud of my big girls! Riverbend Colts!

So glad you finally joined our "blogging" family! It will be fun to see what you guys are up to. The girls looked so happy to be at school-the question is how was mom?
Yay! You did it! Welcome to the wonderful world of blogging! I'm so excited to be able to keep in touch. The girls look so cute for their fist day of school.
Oh, wow, I am so out of it. I didn't think the girls started school until the 25th. Sorry Lindsey, I missed your first day of school. Hope you loved it. I am sure you are the smartest and cutest one in the class. Emily in second grade, where does that leave me? OLD!!!! Well, Tanner, it is just you and mom, better take advantage of that. Love you all.
