Memorial Day Campout

Thanks to the Newbold's and Thompson's for letting us crash their campsite for a day at Santa Cruz's New Brighton Beach!  We had a nice time because of the generosity of friends and family.  The kids had a blast at the beach on Sunday, around the campfire that night and then we packed it up and went home on Monday!  Here are some photo highlights...

 ... a dead jellyfish that the boys all insisted on keeping

in this sand bucket.  They carried it all the way back up

to the campsite and kept as a close companion

until the raccoons got to him in the middle of the night.
