Twins - 9 years apart...
To celebrate my first babe's birth, we had a slumber party
with 8 nine year olds.
I know, I'm crazy...
Emily asked her 15 year old cousin Courtney (whom she adores and idolizes) to come and she agreed. She even gave up going to a friend's Sweet Sixteen party to be here for Emily. I am so touched she would give such a gift to Emily.
So, her Aunt Ashlee stayed as well and helped me paint 80 toes and 80 fingernails, dance in the front room and then she took over the job of yelling at the little dev... I mean, angels at 2:30am when they were still awake and bouncing off walls! She even got up with the baby for her 4 and 6 am feedings and let me sleep! Thanks Ashlee!
It's amazing how life just rolls along... my "baby" is 9 and full of dreams and wishes and love and laughter. Emily is so eager to help and is the 2nd mother here at home. She always wants to do the right thing and fulfill everyone's expectations. I hope and pray that she will discover that the only expectations that matter are hers as she strives to walk her own path with heaven's guideance.
